As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. This physically demanding position requires excellent multitasking and time management skills. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen operations.

Job Responsibilities:

– Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes in a timely manner

– Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

– Assist the kitchen team in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, washing and peeling fruits, and other tasks as assigned

– Dispose of kitchen waste properly and follow recycling procedures

– Receive and store food deliveries, ensuring proper storage and rotation of supplies

– Support the chefs and cooks in any additional tasks required for efficient kitchen operations

– Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment Essential Qualifications:

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

– Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time

– Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

– Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desired Experience:

– Prior experience in a similar role preferred

– Experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen environment is a plus

– Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils is an advantage
